What we collect
The enquiry form asks for your name and email address. You may also provide your organisation, phone number and a message about your site. We also handle correspondence about your enquiry. Please do not submit sensitive information or children's personal data.
To operate and protect the website and form, service providers also process technical information such as IP addresses and request times. The form provider may derive an approximate location from the IP address.
Purpose and legal basis
We use enquiry details to answer your questions, understand your requirements, prepare quotes and take steps you request before entering a contract. The legal basis is pre-contractual steps at your request where applicable, and our legitimate interest in responding to other business enquiries.
Technical processing is based on our legitimate interest in operating a reliable and secure website and preventing spam. The enquiry form does not subscribe you to a newsletter, and we do not make automated decisions about you that have legal effects. Required contact details let us reply; other fields are optional.
Providers and international processing
Our form processor is Formspark (Trampoline Software SRL, Belgium). The Hohta staff handling your enquiry and our form and email providers can access the data as needed for their work. We use Cloudflare to deliver and protect the website.
Formspark states that it stores data in Ireland and Germany. Its subcontractors and other international providers may process data outside the European Economic Area. Processing locations and transfer safeguards are described in Formspark's subprocessor list, Formspark's privacy policy and Cloudflare's privacy policy.
Retention
If your enquiry does not become a customer relationship, we keep its details for at most 24 months after our last contact. We then delete active copies from our form and email records. Customer and contract records may be kept for the periods needed to manage the relationship and meet legal obligations.
Providers may have different retention periods for technical logs and backups. Formspark states that deleted submissions remain recoverable for 30 days; its current retention periods are described in the privacy policy linked above.
Cookies and the embedded demo
Our marketing website has no advertising or analytics tags. Fonts are served from our own website. Website protection may use essential technical cookies.
The embedded demo loads from graphs.hohta.fi, so your browser connects to Hohta's demo service. It uses simulated data and may save the latest public demo readings in your browser's local storage for use during connection interruptions. You can clear this data in your browser settings.
Your rights
You can request access to your data, correction, deletion or restriction of processing. You can object to processing based on legitimate interests for reasons relating to your situation. Data portability applies where its conditions are met. These rights are assessed under applicable data protection law.
